The placement of furniture can play a big part in creating an actual physical separation for your children. Placing two beds back to back will create a natural separation, that feels natural, not forced. Depending on the size of the space you have available, it can also be possible to create a partition in the room. Tall items and bookcases make excellent room dividers, creating space on each side for the children’s individual space. Desks can create a smaller partition, but if a chalkboard or a whiteboard is added, this can act as a wall.
